You'll need basic equipment available from high street shops or online. Each course includes a downloadable list of required paints, glazes, tools, and equipment. For help, ask your course mates or Simon in the members' forum.

Absolutely! All of our courses have been carefully structured by a professional interior decorator and are suited for all abilities. When you enrol onto a course you will have unlimited access to course material for 12 months, including detailed step-by-step instructional videos and a variety of supplementary material to teach you the basics of the paint effect technique. You will be able to watch the videos at your own pace, as many times as you need until you have mastered the basics. From there it just takes practice and a bit of imagination to apply the paint effect to your own project.

In addition to the course material you will also have exclusive access to the members' forum where you can ask your fellow course mates and Simon any questions you may have along the way.

Course duration varies; check the course page for details. Complete it at your own pace within 12 months. Watch the videos as many times as you need to master the techniques.

For the Online Courses, if you have not accessed any of the course material or content and request a refund within the 14 day cooling off period you may be eligible for a refund. However, owing to the nature of the online course format, it will not be possible to offer a refund after the 14 day cooling off period or once the course has been accessed.

For Studio Workshops and Events you may be offered the chance to transfer your attendance to a future equivalent Workshop or Event if you request the change more than 30 days prior to the Event, requests made less than 30 days but more than 14 days prior to the Event may be eligible for transfer to a future equivalent Workshop or Event at the discretion of South Coast Studio, while requests made less than 14 days prior to the Event will not be eligible for transfer or refund. Transferring attendance to a future equivalent Event is subject to availability and can only be offered once per person. If you decide not to transfer your attendance then requests made more than 30 days prior to the Event may be eligible for a refund equal to 50% of the ticket price, request made less than 30 days prior to the Event will not be eligible for a refund. No refunds will be made for non-attendance.
